  5. 13 dic 2006 · Big Band singer "Liltin"' Martha Tilton, perhaps best-known for "And the Angels Sing" with Benny Goodman and the World War II ballad "I'll Walk Alone," has died. She was 91.

  6. 20 apr 2007 · I'm a huge fan of Martha Tilton's marvelously bright, emotionally generous singing voice. Tilton passed away in 2006 at age 91, but thankfully she left behind lots of recordings. That wonderful and well-preserved voice of hers is a sound I love to hear often. This CD set rings the bell as a worthy and deserved tribute to her talent.

  7. 8 dic 2006 · Martha Tilton passed away from nat­ural causes in De­cem­ber of 2006. Her sis­ter, Liz, was also a band vo­cal­ist. The two recorded to­gether as The Liltin’ Tiltons on Coral Records in 1952 and 1953. Tilton’s cousin, Lynn, also worked as a band singer, serv­ing with Ralph Flana­gan’s or­ches­tra in 1950.
