Candidates have two interviews in the college. As part of the process, candidates are given a short text to read and then discuss with interviewers; they are also expected to discuss their recent reading, both in and out of school.
From there you can navigate through the college and its grounds by clicking on the arrow button . In the top left corner of the screen you’ll see a menu icon with a list of all the rooms in the tour – you can navigate directly to them if you choose.
Oriel is a medium-sized college, with about 340 undergraduate students across a range of subjects. We guarantee accommodation for the duration of your degree, meaning college is at the heart of day-to-day life.
23 giu 2021 · This volume allows Oriel—Oxford’s fifth college by foundation (1326)—to take its place within a golden age of institutional histories. Its luxuriant scale is surpassed by Magdalen’s 2008 door-stopper, perhaps, but it nevertheless finds room in its well-indexed pages for everything from Bill the bulldog to water polo, via Nerses II, Armenian patriarch of Constantinople.
When students tell us what they love about Oriel, they usually talk about the college’s welcoming atmosphere, its central but quiet location, and the fact that it is the perfect size for making friends across year groups. Our community is open to everyone, and we celebrate difference in all its forms.
Accommodation Costs. Accommodation at Oriel is split into categories or ‘grades’ and priced accordingly. Because of the age of the College buildings and the number of different residential areas within College, no two rooms are the same and applicants should be aware that the pictures in the gallery above are just examples of room types and may not look the same as the room you are allocated.
