Hermitage, Hill and Darwin’s own space on campus – the fourth Lower School boarding house is Downe House Sauveterre in the beautiful Occitanie region of Southwestern France. 2: Woodland Acres of woodland estate providing beautiful green space as well as our cross-country route.
Downe House provides individual care for every international pupil, starting with advice to guide you through the international student application process. Overseas girls who come to Downe House receive special support with English as an additional language (if appropriate) as well as flights, travel and all aspects of school life, both pastoral and academic.
Downe House has been a Microsoft Showcase School since 2018. Downe House honours an exceptional programme to nurture global citizens and expands the pupils’ cultural horizons. Every pupil in the Lower Fourth (Year 8) spends a term at our school in France, Downe House Sauveterre, a beautiful chateau that allows the students to experience French life, language and culture.

About us. Downe House Riyadh is the first premium, British girls’ school to open in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The school is exclusively for girls from Year 5 to Year 13 (ages 9–18) and co-educational (mixed boys’ and girls’ classes) in Pre-Prep and Lower Prep (ages 3-9).
