2 ott 2012 · Geoff Zanelli’s score for The Odd Life of Timothy Green is orchestral, light, sweet and charming, a world away from the eardrum-bleeding industrial nightmare of Gamer. The word I keep returning to when I listen to this score is ‘homespun’; it has a sense of warmth to its sound that speaks to family, friendship, a simple life filled with simple gifts, which I suppose is the idea.

Zanelli accumulated dozens of film credits for additional music for the likes of Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, and John Powell, before eventually working more frequently as main composer. On 2004's Secret Window, a Stephen King adaptation starring Johnny Depp, he was credited alongside Philip Glass as composer.
9 mar 2023 · Geoff Zanelli happens to be one of my favorite composers who I've been listening to since the beginning of his composing career. I've listened to his sound shape and grow. His action scores are top notch fun, and his drama scores bring the heart. Somehow though it feels like something clicked with The Odd Life Of Timothy Green.
