He was gifted all along with overwhelming talent and drive, and while good luck is certainly needed along the way, there is no doubt that his natural skill as an actor and strength as a singer has had everything to do with the success he has enjoyed.
Cullum's career began in 1960 in a debut role in the musical Camelot . He has appeared in many stage musicals and dramas, including On the Twentieth Century (1978) and Shenandoah (1975), winning the Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for each. [1] He played Holling Vincoeur on the television drama series Northern Exposure (6 seasons).

John Cullum is a two time Tony Award recipient and a member of the Theater Hall of Fame. He made his Broadway debut in Lerner & Loew’s Camelot in 1960, and has been a perennial Broadway favorite for more than 60 years.
