17 lug 2005 · The battle scenes are brutal as we see American servicemen actually getting killed in battle. I have seen recent documentaries about Irag and Afghanistan, but none compare with the horror seen in San Pietro. I would highly recommend this film to anyone, but it is a must for any "war buff," as is Huston's other two war documentaries. Peace.

5 dic 2019 · Yet when The Battle of San Pietro was complete, Huston gave only one small concession to its artificial production: a title card, originally run towards the end of the film, claiming “for purposes of continuity a few of these scenes were shot before and after the actual battle.” The Army initially refused to release Huston’s film.

The film is Exactly What It Says on the Tin, telling the story of the battle of San Pietro Infine in December 1943.
