When his superiors think that the case is better handed over to Scotland Yard, the local detective inspector, Sparrow, decides to go solo to investigate the crime himself.
Michael Caine has a small role in this Edgar Wallace crime meller, two years before ZULU shot him to stardom. He plays an Irishman named Mooney, and frankly his Irish accent ain’t makin’ it. Pretty soon, he just sounded like Michael Caine in all his movies and nobody cared.
