Released on December 23rd with no fanfare, publicity, or even an IMDB page, War of the Worlds: Annihilation is the latest “Tubi Original”. Like their first original film Swim, this was made for them by The Asylum, which should make their fans happy.
When humanoid aliens invade, a brutal war escalates across the planet decimating cities and all within. With little chance of survival, a ragtag group of rebels forms and starts to fight back.
8/10 War of the Worlds: Annihilation is the new Asylum movie exclusive for Tubi. No, unfortunately it is not a sequel to their War of the Worlds and War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave movies, which is a shame as I love those and were the movies that initially got me into Asylum way back in the day, so that was disappointing.
