DESCRIPTION. Ned Kelly is a famous Australian bush ranger. He became a bush ranger after his mother was sent to jail. He shot and killed two police officers and so began the hunt for the Kelly Gang. In his last stand at Glenrowan, dressed in home-made armour, he was gunned down. He lived but was later tried and hanged in 1880.
