"Gosenzo-sama Banbanzai!" It was my 500th completed anime, I had very high expectations, surpassed precisely by the eccentricity of such a production. A simple premise, created in the most acidic and sarcastic way possible, conveying its message about legacy with the greatest possible distortion of the main characters.
Gosenzo-sama Banbanzai! Tamiko, Kinekuni and their son Inumaru live in an apartment in Japan and live a relatively slow and quiet life, until one day a beautiful girl named Maroko shows up at their door step. She proclaims herself as being from the future, and has traveled to the past to visit her distant relative: Inumaru, her grandfather.

5 ago 2019 · Agosto 1989, il “paese del sol levante” vede sorgere una nuova opera dal genio di Mamoru Oshii, si tratta di Gosenzosama Banbanzai (letteralmente “Lunga lunga vita agli Antenati”), una miniserie composta da sei OVA e partorita in sinergia con Kenji Kawai; il quale successivamente diventerà uno stretto collaboratore del Maestro, curando la colonna sonora di tutti i suoi lavori.
