1 mag 2016 · There’s a moment in Special Correspondents that suggests the much better movie it could have been.. In the film, two bumbling radio journalists are grounded after Ian Finch (Ricky Gervais), a sound engineer whose wife has just left him, accidentally throws their passports away when traveling to the airport.
Organically, these are all good things. Yet, in "Special Correspondents," Gervais' semi-satire about creating a news sensation where there is none, none of them cause the stir needed to make the film stand out. Mildy amusing, moderately thoughtful, and mostly forgettable, the work works to say something.
