28 ott 2020 · Trey Spruance: It was only a flash of inspiration about doing exactly this. The band formed around this music, around these songs, and these songs had never gotten a fair shake. Most bands are maybe embarrassed of their early demos; we made four demos, and we're not as excited about the subsequent demos, but we've always felt great about the first demo and about that music.

Trey Spruance was the guitarist and one of the main songwriters for Mr. Bungle, a band he formed with Trevor Dunn and Mike Patton in Eureka, CA in 1985. Currently, his focus is Secret Chiefs 3, for which he serves as composer and multi-instrumentalist.

Trey Spruance was born in 1969 as Preston Lea Spruance III & grew up in Eureka, California. In 1985, while still at Eureka High school, he formed Mr Bungle with schoolmates Mike Patton,Trevor Dunn & Jed Watts. On leaving Eureka he attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, where he majored in music.
