  6. While not exactly the boldest Noir B-picture, at least Hammer managed to churn out a thriller with a consistent tone. There’s a couple Bond alumni here and Carry On’s very own Sid James too. I’ve got to admit, I did struggle with the idea of a sideshow attraction doing big numbers in London of the 1950’s, but maybe I’m being naive.
