Vanilla Sky è infatti il remake del lungometraggio spagnolo Abre Los Ojos di Alejandro Amenbar del 1997.
Es ist gar nicht so einfach, etwas über den Inhalt von Vanilla Sky, erschienen 2001 unter der Regie von Cameron Crowe, zu schreiben. Denn die meisten Sätze wären Spoiler, der Film lebt von seinen Twists, die zuerst ein bisschen verwirrend anmuten können.
