If you are looking for a way to farm better loot and also unlock Ultimate Descendants, then replaying the game in Hard Mode is the way to go. But the game doesn’t tell you how to unlock Hard Mode, hence keeping you stuck.
Replaying the game on ERR easy mode made me realize. The game is actually fun and feels fair if you dont get Oneshot everytime. It feels a lot better to be active rather than do nothing waiting for your turn. This is how DS3 and DS1 felt. You rarely got Oneshot.

Any changes or consequences that occurred in the original completion of the mission will not carry over to the replay. Replaying a mission is purely for the purpose of experiencing it again and does not have any impact on the overall game progression.
