Gaute Storaas (born 20 August 1959) is a Norwegian jazz musician and composer, and the older brother of jazz pianist Vigleik Storaas.

Like any good supporting musician my contribution will be essential, but the soloist will be the star. My goal is always to make the film shine. The utmost effort, knowledge and fantasy will be used to set a tone for the film, and to fulfill the story´s dramatic requirements.

A jazz musician and composer, Storaas grew out of the flowering musical environment of the Norwegian city Bergen in the late 70s, and was an active bass player on the local rock and jazz scene. He attended Berklee College of Music, Boston, in 1984, where he got his diploma in arranging two years later.
