News came in early September 2004 that Cinerama would be rebranded as The Wedding Present. The line-up was to be the same as the last line-up of Cinerama, which included Simon Cleave. The first new single, " Interstate 5 ", was issued on 15 November 2004, to lead off the new album, Take Fountain , which was released on 14 February 2005.
The Wedding Present sort ensuite Saturnalia à la fin de l'année 1996 (qui succède à l'EP baptisé Mini). Suivront le single « Montreal » en 1997 et l'album Take Fountain en 2005, après quelques années de disette pour le groupe de David Gedge, qui en avait profité pour fomenter un projet baptisé Cinerama, dans le même esprit que The Wedding Present d'un point due vue musical.
It was a great journey throughout 2022 as the singles kept coming and coming and it's satisfying to see them all put together now. Main highlights include: Memento Mori, We Interrupt Our Programme, Science Fiction, We All Came From The Sea and The Loneliest Time of Year.
