Entry into Roedean School (SA) The majority of girls enter the Junior School in the Grade 0 class in the calendar year in which they turn 6. It is a sister school of Roedean School in Brighton, England which was founded by three older sisters of Theresa Lawrence, namely Penelope, Millicent, and Dorothy. The school began with 22 pupils, and was situated in a small house in Jeppestown, Johannesburg. In 1904, it relocated to its current site in Parktown, Johannesburg.
Empathetic. I see my role in the school as being a presence denoting peace and calm. I believe that Geography is an essential choice of subject for 2024; it’s so relevant, and extremely fun to teach! Getting the girls involved in the Farm is truly special. Seeing the girls grow in confidence and knowledge on the Farm is very rewarding.
