Captain Kronos (Horst Janson) and his assistant Grost (John Cater) are professional vampire hunters who have been summoned to a village where a young girl has been found emaciated. Kronos must devise a cunning plan to expose the murderer and decides he must use the beautiful gypsy Carla (Caroline Munro) as bait.
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter is impeded by waffle, unengaging characters and a shocking lack of sword wielding. But rest assured, there's an entertaining little showdown in the last ten minutes. Hammer attempt to reinvent the wheel, subverting their typical, gothic approach and present a unusual take on vampirism.
