Undergraduate Application Requirements. This section is for all first-year and transfer applicants from outside of USC applying to the Bachelor of Music (BM) Composition program for the fall semester. USC does not accept applications for spring admission. Note: This information applies only to undergraduate Composition applicants.

USC Thornton has continuously adapted to the changing landscape of musical professions, and was one of the first schools of music to introduce cutting-edge jazz, film scoring, music industry, and popular music programs.
Associate professor of practice. Sean Holt is an American musician, producer, songwriter and artist. Originally from Louisiana, Holt’s early musical influences were a unique collection of blues, gospel, soul and jazz from that region. He began his professional career in 1991 in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
