Mr. Bungle ist eine Avantgarde-Band, die sich 1985 in Eureka/Kalifornien um den Sänger Mike Patton, den Gitarristen Trey Spruance, den Bassisten Trevor Dunn und den Schlagzeuger Jed Watts formierte. Ihren Namen erhielt die Band durch einen Kurzfilm, der in den früheren Folgen der Pee Wee Herman Show zu sehen war.
11 dic 2023 · I Mr. Bungle sono tornati a esibirsi dal vivo nel 2019 con una formazione allargata che comprendeva Scott Ian (Anthrax, S.O.D.) e Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies) decidendo poi di registrare con questa formazione i brani dello storico demo del 1986, “The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo“, tornando così in studio a 21 anni dall’ultima volta.

Dopo un sollecito della stessa casa discografica, i Mr. Bungle decisero per uno strategico cambio di nome, intitolandola come una biografia non autorizzata di Travolta scritta da un suo fan. Gli artwork presenti nel booklet del disco sono liberamente ispirati a quelli del libro Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children: A Cotton Candy Autopsy , scritto da Dave Luapre e da Dan Sweetman .
