Jack who hailed from Boston, Massachusetts, married Florence McFadden, a native of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on February 25, 1921, and they remained together until his death in 1979. The couple had a son, Jack Haley, Jr. who grew up to be a film director, producer and writer, and a daughter, Gloria.
18 mar 2015 · Jack Haley, who played nine seasons in the NBA including a reserve role on the Chicago Bulls’ 1996 championship team, has died. He was 51. Haley’s family confirmed his death, saying the cause was heart disease. He died Monday at Los Alamitos Medical Center, according to the Orange County coroner’s office website.
His son, Jack Haley Jr., persuaded him to come out of retirement for a one-shot return to features with a cameo in 1970's "Norwood." Although there were occasional TV roles (e.g., the ABC movie "Rolling Man"), the elderly Haley seemed uninterested in pursuing a career as a character actor, preferring to be remembered for his earlier work.
