Walter Matthau was born in New York City on Oct. 1, 1920, to Milton Matuschanskayasky and the former Rose Berolsky, impoverished Jewish immigrants. His father, from Russia, was an electrician turned process server who abandoned the family when Walter was 3 years old and who died 12 years later.

2 gen 2012 · 1. E’ RICCA, LA SPOSO E L’AMMAZZO (1971) Basterebbe solo citare l’Alsofila Grahamida per far sorridere chi ha visto il film, per farlo intristire al ricordo di Walter Matthau. L’abbiamo avuto e ora sentiamo la sua mancanza. Sembrerà strano non occupare l'intero podio con i film girati con Billy Wilder.
