A Better Tomorrow 2, while not a thoroughly crappy film in and of itself, is a pretty crappy sequel (to a movie that should never have had a sequel to begin with). The original cast is reunited, with Chow Yun-fat playing the twin brother of his previous character, who got perforated at the end of the first film.

A Better Tomorrow 2 is a 1987 Hong Kong action film written and directed by John Woo. A follow-up to its popular predecessor, A Better Tomorrow, the film stars returning cast members Chow Yun-fat, Ti Lung and Leslie Cheung alongside new cast member Dean Shek. The film was released in Hong Kong on 17 December 1987.
16 gen 2001 · I just felt A better tomorrow 1, though over the top, I felt it was more down to earth. But not to say that A Better Tomorrow 2 is a bad movie. It is far from that! I still really enjoyed the action & story here. If you liked A Better Tomorrow 1, then this sequel is a must see!!! I highly recommend buying this on Blu-ray.
