Synopsis. Un veuve encore belle, très fortunée mais malade de solitude, observe pour vivre par procuration les faits et gestes de sa voisine d'en face, jeune et de moeurs légères. La voisine est assassinée par son amant. Témoin du crime, la veuve deviendra la maitresse du meurtrier et commencera ainsi sa descente aux enfers.
