Bolt Thrower fue una banda de death metal de Coventry, Inglaterra. Se formaron en 1986 y lanzaron su primer álbum con el sello Vinyl Solution en 1988. Entonces cambiaron a un nuevo sello discográfico, Earache Records, pronto se convertirían en una de las bandas con mejores ventas en ese sello. Su último sello fue Metal Blade Records.

LINKS. BIOGRAPHY. BOLT THROWER were formed at a punk gig in a Coventry pub in 1986, following a conversation between friends guitarist Barry Thomson and bassist Gavin Ward. Inspired at that time by bands such as Sacrilege, Discharge, Candlemass & Slayer, they decided to form a band that was heavy, aggressive, but more importantly, original.

Bolt Thrower. Bolt Thrower was een deathmetalband uit de omgeving van Coventry in Engeland. De band werd in 1986 opgericht door Gavin Ward en Barry Thompson. Na de onverwachte dood van de toenmalige drummer in 2015 is de band in 2016 uit elkaar gegaan. De bandnaam is afgeleid van een wapen uit het spel Warhammer van Games Workshop .
