The premise focuses on the ever evolving and duty conscious Arthur Bell Nicholls, who was clearly devoted to the family as a whole. I have often wondered when reading academic books on the subject of the Brontes' and the sister's novels extensively how Arthur remained as steadfast as he did for so many years without asking for anything in return.

1 giu 2022 · Arthur Bell Nicholls was born at Killead, Country Antrim, Northern Ireland, on 6 January 1819. His parents were William Nicholls, a Presbyterian farmer, and Margaret Bell Nicholls, an Anglican. As one of ten children, he was assisted by his uncle, Reverend Allan Bell, who took him in.
