24 feb 2020 · Il Rhythm and Blues Il Rhythm and Blues nacque attorno agli anni ’50 ed ebbe fama fino agli anni ’60. Inizialmente nota come race music (“ musica di razza ” o “ degli afroamericani “), si tratta di una musica ballabile e ritmata sulle melodie del blues, a cui si accompagnano strumenti quali il pianoforte, il sassofono, la chitarra elettrica e l’ organo Hammond .
Rhythm and Blues (auch Rhythm & Blues oder Rhythm ’n’ Blues, abgekürzt R&B, R & B, R ’n’ B oder auch RnB) bezeichnet den in den 1940er Jahren vorherrschenden Stil afroamerikanischer Popmusik: eine rhythmisch stark akzentuierte Form des Blues, aus der später Rock ’n’ Roll wurde, die von Weißen gespielte und produzierte Form des Rhythm and Blues.
