It explores the effects of slavery, colonialism, imperialism and misogynoir on society. My identity as an African-Caribbean British woman is at the core of my practice.
4 giu 2024 · Slade School of Fine Art, UCL Georgia Brady-Tompt’s modular sculptures caught my eye at the Slade’s degree show. Towards the start of her degree, Brady-Tompt’s practice was principally in painting: somewhat cyclically, her sculpture practice now interrogates this very medium.

Bolstered by her background in engineering, her images have mathematical and analytical elements married with an otherness that contemplates the illusory.

Born in 1934, he attended Salford Grammar School and at 17 won a scholarship to The Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London. He then went on to study at the British School in Rome and Madrid University.
