Through that label, Mellencamp (still as Johnny Cougar), put out the 1978 album A Biography, which generated the top 30 hit "I Need a Lover."

16 apr 2013 · I was attempting to purchase the original Chestnut Street Incident album but unfortunately this is a remake that is not the original. It's mostly just covers. John Mellencamp and the band he played with in the early 1970s played a lot of covers in high schools in the midwest but he had a pile of original material the record companies rejected.
