Wang Chung are an English new wave band, formed in London in 1980 by Nick Feldman, Jack Hues and Darren Costin. The name Wang Chung means "yellow bell" in Chinese (黃鐘, pinyin: huáng zhōng; Wade–Giles: huang chung), and is the first note in the Chinese classical music scale. The London-based new wave group Wang Chung had a handful of hits in the mid-80s, achieving their greatest popularity in America. Originally called Huang Chung, the band consisted of vocalist/guitarist Jack Hues, bassist Nick Feldman and drummer Darren Costin. The band recorded four tracks for 101 Records in the late 70s, all of which appeared.
