The Buggles était un groupe de synthpop et new wave britannique, originaire de Wimbledon en Angleterre. Il se forme en 1977 et se sépare en 1981 . Ce duo, constitué de Geoff Downes et Trevor Horn , connaît son plus gros succès en 1979 avec son premier single , Video Killed the Radio Star .

La nota versione di Video Killed the Radio Star, pubblicata dai Buggles, può essere considerata una cover di un'incisione precedente; infatti nello stesso anno, una versione diversa fu registrata da Bruce Woolley (autore del brano con Horn e Downes) e dal suo gruppo "Camera Club" (che comprendeva anche Thomas Dolby) e pubblicata nel loro primo ed unico album English Garden.
The Buggles were an English musical duo. [1] [2] It had Trevor Horn on vocals , bass guitar and guitar and Geoff Downes on keyboards . They have been most known for their 1979 debut single Video Killed the Radio Star that was #1 on the singles charts of sixteen countries. [3]
