Westminster offers a variety of Academic and Music Scholarships, which are awarded on a strictly competitive basis and parental income is not taken into account. The School also has a system of bursaries, which enables us to offer free places or places at reduced fees to boys and girls who do well in our entrance examinations but whose parents cannot afford the full fees.

Take Shrove Tuesday’s ‘Pancake Greaze’, which sees the head chef toss a pancake over a high bar in the main hall for pupils to scramble over. (The school archive contains the pieces of a 1922 Greaze pancake, carefully preserved by the pupil who caught it.)

Westminster School is a public boarding and day school. The curriculum covers humanities, arts, sciences, music, art, drama and sport. Boys enter at 13, girls at 16. From 13 the curriculum is directed at GCSEs/IGCSEs, from 16 at Advanced Level and Cambridge Pre-U examinations. Admission is open to any applicant who meets the entry criteria.
