11 gen 2009 · Juice Newton started as the lead of the Silver Spur Band but it wouldn't be until a few year laters that she really became well known. My guess is that has to do more with timing than anything as here on her debut album she is already in control of that big voice and doing the poppy country that would make her famous.

The album contains Newton's first charting single, "Love Is a Word", and the original version of "The Sweetest Thing", which was re-recorded in 1981 as a Newton solo piece and became a number-one hit.
