Alle origini gli (Mystic Knights Of The) Oingo Boingo erano un'orchestra di otto strumentisti dedito a piece per il teatro d'avanguardia. Originari di Los Angeles e capitanati dal cantante Danny Elfman, esordirono con un omonimo EP nel 1980, sul quale figuravano due brani destinati a rimanere classici: il rock and roll di Only A Lad e lo ska-metal di Ain't This The Life.
11 feb 2007 · I have seen Boingo in concert 3 times and they are one of my all-time favorite bands. This brings back memories of growing up listening to Boingo. Elfman is a genuis and has transformed into a great composer. If you are new to Oingo Boingo I would say get Skeletons in the Closet and enjoy their hits from their early years.
