Kais Nashef is the central figure of "Paradise Now" and the actor walks a line between letting us into his thoughts and remaining a mystery. He can appear rather stoic, yet also shows sensitivity in his interactions with Suha and his mother. Ali Suliman makes a terrific foil, as open as Nashef is brooding.
