Bob Griese is a legendary football player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. One of the Boilermakers best signal callers was Bob Griese. Coming out of Evansville, Indiana; Griese became a starter in his 1964 sophomore season. That year Purdue posted a 6-3 record. Griese gained national prominence in the second game of the 1965 season as he led Purdue to a 25-21 victory over top ranked Notre Dame.
Bob Griese played 14 seasons for the Dolphins. He threw for 25,092 yards and 192 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 8 Pro Bowls, and won 2 championships. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990.
3 ott 2022 · Five games into his 14th NFL season, Bob Griese, father to then-6-year-old Brian, suffered a shoulder injury. It was severe enough to end his 1980 season and his Hall of Fame career at 35 years old.
