Future Shock. (film) Future Shock is a 1972 American short documentary film directed by Alex Grasshoff and narrated by Orson Welles. It was screened at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival, but it wasn't entered into the main competition. [1] It is based on the 1970 book of the same name by Alvin Toffler .
Watched this in two halves. First half was quite good I thought, especially with respect to any science content (tho apparently the geography isn't so good) - no glaring physical impossibilities, plausible scenario. The inclusion of Ireland made the movie (refreshingly) not the usual completely US-centric fare.
