Their early shows were self-described as ‘rave-ups’ – wild, hair-down, knickers-off parties for the wilfully far out, the fashionably fuck you. They weren’t dirty rockers, but they were photographed riding Harleys.

Having a Rave Up. ( 1965) For Your Love è il primo album in studio pubblicato dai The Yardbirds negli Stati Uniti nel luglio 1965; nel 1999 è stato rimasterizzato e ripubblicato con 13 brani aggiuntivi.
Gli Yardbirds di Beck viaggiarono spediti verso un rock decisamente innovativo e sperimentale, ricco di distorsioni e wah wah, e in questo periodo ottennero una nutrita serie di successi, sono di questo periodo i loro due album migliori: “Having a Rave Up” e “Roger the Engineer”.
