About Feist Leslie Feist is an 11-time Juno Award-winning solo artist and founding member of Broken Social Scene. Born in Nova Scotia but mostly raised in Calgary, she first explored her idiosyncratic musicality by playing in a local punk band as a teen and made her recording debut with the 1999 independent release Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down).
