Admissions Requirements. Ranked as one of the top film schools in America, the AFI Conservatory is searching for the next generation of filmmakers with individual artistic voices to apply as Fellows to one of the six disciplines in our MFA program.
1 gen 2024 · AFI isn’t like any other graduate film school in Los Angeles or the nation. Think of us like the most prolific content creators in Hollywood. Fellows collectively create up to 175 films a year across six disciplines in the master’s degree program: Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Producing, Production Design and Screenwriting.
With an emphasis on artistic collaboration, AFI’s graduate-level Producing program drives Fellows to master strong communication skills, develop creative solutions and learn how to manage the intricate details of propelling a project from story to screen.
