Live at the Budokan è un album live della Ian Gillan Band, registrato dal vivo il 22 settembre 1977 a Tokyo, in Giappone. Colin William Towns (born 13 May 1948 in West Ham, London) is an English composer and keyboardist. He was noted as playing in bands formed by ex- Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan , and later worked extensively in composing soundtracks for film, television and commercials.

The song "Unchain Your Brain" was re-recorded and released on Ian Gillan's 2006 release Gillan's Inn . Glory Road was also released in the UK as a limited edition double LP and contained the free LP For Gillan Fans Only. When Glory Road was eventually released on CD, most of the For Gillan Fans Only material was included as bonus tracks.
Divenuto insoddisfatto della vena jazz-rock della formazione, il cantante la sciolse, mantenendo il solo tastierista, Colin Towns e formò una nuova band intitolata semplicemente Gillan.
