Starring Sid James and Diana Coupland, it was created by Vince Powell and Harry Driver, but mainly written by other hands including Dave Freeman and Carla Lane.
One film which promised much, but again where James was rather underused, was the fitfully amusing Too Many Crooks in 1959. This comedy crime caper starred George Cole as Fingers, the utterly incompetent leader of a gang featruing James playing - surprisingly - Sid, with Bernard Bresslaw as Snowdrop and Joe Melia as Whisper.
