Family & Personal Life. Born on September 10, 1955 in San Jose, Costa Rica, Giannina Facio is the daughter of Ana Franco Calzia and Gonzalo Facio Segreda. Her father, who expired in 2018, was a well-known Costa Rican lawyer, politician, and diplomat who spent a number of years in Guatemala. She married Ridley Scott in 2015 and is his third wife.
