  1. The Art Department at Ernest Bevin College offers students many opportunities to develop their creative skills. Studying art at school encourages creativity and self-expression, as well as providing an outlet to release the stresses of everyday life and helping students to develop critical thinking skills.

  2. At Ernest Bevin Academy we recognise the importance of working with parents and carers to ensure the very best for all students. Our new APP is called Edulink One. As of April 2022, the school no longer uses MyEd.

Sixth form students are encouraged to have a careers interview with our careers advisor and seize the opportunities provided within the weekly updates on possible work experience and apprenticeship vacancies. These offers allow students in the Sixth Form to keep abreast of employment trends and openings as they occur.

  4. The original Bec Grammar School building was demolished and the land was developed for private housing. The building work was completed in 1996 and all students moved into the new buildings on Beechcroft Road. The school was renamed Ernest Bevin College in June 1997. In 2023 the school joined United Learning and was renamed Ernest Bevin Academy.

  5. If you wish to apply for a place at Ernest Bevin Academy outside of the Primary to Secondary transfer, you must do so through Wandsworth Pupil Services. Parents are welcome to contact the school to inquire whether there are vacancies in years other than the normal transfer points (Year 7 and Year 12) and ask to visit the school during working hours to see a normal school day.

  7. Ernest Bevin Academy Admissions Criteria 2024-25 We will admit 120 pupils into Year 7 in September 2024. Places will first be allocated to Children with an Education Health and Care Plan which names the school or for whom the school is being consulted with by the responsible Local Authority.
