In order to be considered for the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, students must meet the following selection criteria: Currently be a sophomore or junior in high school or home school. Live, attend school, or have a parent/ guardian who works in Kentucky. Complete the application by the due date in January.

Governor's School for the Arts (Kentucky) The Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts (GSA) is a three-week summer program for rising juniors and seniors in the state of Kentucky. Each spring over 1700 students audition for 256 (as of 2017) spots in the program. The program is located at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.
Summer Programs. Artists-at-heart get the true Govie Experience in our immersive, overnight summer programs. Programs serve students in grades 6-11, and range from 1-5 weeks long, depending on art area and grade level. South Carolina residency is required to apply for all programs, with the exception of Summer Dance.
