Togarma a Bibliában több helyen előforduló név. Az Antitorosz és az Eufrátesz közötti lótenyésztő vidéket, országot, illetve lakóit jelöli. Föníciai nyelven Togarma, akkád és szír nyelven – asszír forrásokban – Tilgarimmu. A történészek egy része az ország lakóit az örmények elődeivel azonosítja.
