8 apr 2024 · Entry into Year 7 (entry September 2025) Please note that the School is responsible for organising testing arrangements and all applicants need to register to be tested. No applicants will be entered automatically. Test registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon) on Monday, 8 April 2024 and closes at 12:00 pm (noon) on Monday, 2 September 2024.
The School is currently transitioning to a new curriculum structure; therefore, pupils entering. • Year 9 and 10 in September 2020, will follow ten GCSE courses over three years by selecting four optional subjects, which must include a language (French, German or Latin) and a humanities (Geography or History).

Admission into Years 8-11. In-Year applications will be considered each year for any vacancies in Years 8 to 11 from September and for any vacancies in Year 7 from January. Please see the relevant Admissions policy for further information on in year applications, including how the required standard is determined and the oversubscription criteria.
Sport at Ermysted’s has always been a large part of school life and this is no different in the sixth form. The Rugby 1st XV and Football 1st XI compete in multiple competitions throughout the year and have the opportunity to travel and play in fixtures across the North of England and further afield.
