Sylvia Chang (born 21 July 1953) is a Taiwanese movie director, actress, singer and producer. She began her career in the 1970s. She has acted in, directed and produced many movies. [1] Chang won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actress. Her movies have been accepted into movie festivals. She was born in Chiayi City, Taiwan.
Sylvia Chang was born in Taiwan but spent time in her youth in both Hong Kong and the United States. She started out as a supporting player at the Golden Harvest studio in the early 1970s, though without much success (she did pick up a Golden Horse award for Supporting Actress in the 1976 Taiwanese film Posterity and Perplexity ).
