Unfortunately the film is not without problems; as a documentary The Upsetter perhaps relies too heavily on Perry's personal recollections - when at times he was under the influence of vast quantities of ganja and booze. Interviews with other people from his life and career would make some elements of the story clearer, and more plausible.

The Upsetters. The Upsetters è stata la house band del produttore reggae giamaicano Lee "Scratch" Perry, ovvero il gruppo musicale residente presso lo studio di registrazione di Perry, il Black Ark Studio . The Upsetter is a studio album of Lee "Scratch" Perry productions, released in 1969. The album largely comprises instrumentals from Perry's studio band The Upsetters, but also features vocal tracks by Busty Brown and The Muskyteers (aka the Silvertones ). The album was reissued in expanded form on compact disc in 2003.
